i certainly mean no vile juxtaposition by featuring this song just above a tribute to peter lorre who played the pedophiliac child murderer in 'M.' it was just a coincidence, i swear, that i chose to showcase this precocious ribbon-haired ponytail darling miss kendrick and her rendition of the classic song from rogers and hammerstein's 'showboat.' (backed by the sluttish german chorus of the girls from 'cabaret.') i have no idea what year it was filmed or what broadcast it was taken from, but i love it. the kid's great.)
