experimental georgina

as you'll read on the post below, i've been screwing around with some photographic techniques; like, that's because i'm an artist, and that's the kind of wild stuff i do to amuse myself. so, i've been taking pictures of my computer screen with all sorts of stuff on it. and although the images aren't like, 'razor-sharp,' resolution-wise, i still am digging on the egg-drop wispyness of the stuff i'm managing to get. and some unexpected colors have been popping up, just from the random behavior of strange added filters and accidental elements. here's a shot i took of my blonde darling georgina hale. it was a black and white clip, but somehow, the end result had an aquamarine hint to it. i liked it, so i tried to bring it out a little. its weird, the grain is still quite fine, but the detail is hazy. below, you'll see another try with a different model. cool stuff.

the johnsons

so it seems like my past posting of a young and undressed anjelica huston was a big hit, so i decided it would be cool to post a groovy shot of the somewhat-nude couple under a haze of gauze. the dude on the bottom, with 95 percent of his clothes on is don johnson. and yes, that means the barely-old-enough-to-consent chick on top is none other than miss melanie griffith. wow, she really was beautiful, wasn't she? but um, have you taken a look at her recently? yikes! i hate to be mean to such a mod and free-swinging sister, but she's a walking plastic factory. and its a shame, because i can't imagine she would've aged badly on her own merits. i mean, tippi (her mom) hedren looked pretty good for a long time, and i don't think she had a lot of artificial help. and hey, don johnson still looks okay last time i checked. i miss this hazy, soft, super-diffused style of photography. i don't think its a cop-out, really, because if you don't have a fair amount of 'basic goods' in the first place, a hazy filter isn't going to help much. and hey, i miss real panties! i dig this shot, its great. they're so in love! sigh... window : two

here's another primative collage my partner and i made over ten years ago. it bookends with the 'window : one,' also to be found on this site. jean-lucien and i both had identical copies of 'national geographic,' which contained the same shot of the same window, and we both sort of set ourselves an assigment to like, rhapsodise within them. i think the earlier post was my take, where this one was largely jean-lucien's. they're both dazzling, especially considering the limitations of our resources in those days. its still mysterious and gorgeous. so dig it.

socked

i give full and respectful credit to two individuals : helmut newton who took this picture, and jerry hall, who posed for it. i love it. its striking without being disgusting. its gorgeous without being too pretty. helmut newton has an unflinching eye for stark sights, and jerry hall has unbelievable bone structure. jerry proves that a goddess can, and very often does, have a strong southern accent. i mean, her drawl is a heck of a lot thicker than mine, but still... i admire the fact that she sounds like that and is still able to land not only scores of high-profile magazine covers, but also such trophy lovers as bryan ferry and mr. mick jagger. (he's not 'sir' mick jagger yet, is he?) so here's to you, jerry... kiss them for me.

room 237

my mate jean-lucien has a real talent for cool. he sent me this lovely slide and i couldn't wait to post it. he retouches and crops and does wild things to an image. this one is glassy and haunting, not to mention terribly pretty. so dig on it, with his kind permission.
