this afternoon jean-lucien sent me some lovely scans from old books, and amongst them was this shot i hope he doesn't mind i published. i love it, although its been technically damaged. it began as a collage, but something was spilled on it before it could be scanned, hence, the distortion and bleeding. i thought this unfortunate accident added as much to the image as it subtracted from it. it didn't make it neccessarily better or worse, but it did make it different. in the words of an immortal commercial artist: '...i liked it, so i used it...' i just hope it passes jean-lucien's approval.
