...mmm, what a predictable play-on-words when you're talking about duran duran. this is, of course, simon le bon. i would guess around 1984, the 'ragged tiger' tour. they came through greensboro, but we didn't make it. still, luckily the highlights of the tour are well documented in the stylish, fast-paced, and fun documentary 'sing blue silver,' which is available on dvd, and well worth whatever they're charging if you're a duran fan and are on the fence about shelling out the bucks. the 'mint-flavored lip salve' scene is a cinematic triumph.
