here's a stunning example of how oftentimes two is just enough. this marvelous slide was constructed from only two pieces. the background is an expertly-snapped frame of film, which was subsequently tricked. the hand-cut image of don van vliet (captain beefheart) was added later. the end result is a dreamy, glassy, rectangular stone. its so beautiful. jean-lucien is responsible for it, and i hope he doesn't mind that i posted it here. (and on a final note, if god hadn't meant us to take shortcuts, he wouldn't have given us memory.)
