here's a slice of the mad magazine movie parody of 'the french connection.' its done by the great mort drucker, of course. the likeness of roy scheider is dead on. the hackman, i realize, must be a bit more difficult to get right. but the scheider is extraordinary. i wanted to include a bit of 'drucker-for-luck,' if you know what i mean. and by the way, if you've never seen 'the french connection,' do yourself a favor and go get it. the film stock alone is worth five stars. (if you make sure you get a decent copy.)
