a little sexy

hey, lets get a little sexy on planetcool... i mean, we're all adults here, we can handle it, right? well, i sure hope so, because some prime cheesecake happens to be on the menu. mmmm, just look at those leggity-leggity-legs, all posed and sheathed in black nylon-styled tights...! and she's pretty, too... with her sassy, swingy flip of her brown hair, and her scarlet lipstick and playful direct eye contact. mmm, she can come to the slumber party anytime. sadly, i don't think i have a name for her... i think i just stumbled onto her looking for magazine covers or something. but i figured it'd been a long time since i had a playmate featured, so dig her while she lasts! (?) man, a shot like this, well, it makes my 'straight' lobe take a temporary 'backseat,' if you know what i mean. (click to enlarge)

honeytoast

here's a slice of notebook art... its an unusual pairing. that's a very young shot of jools holland on top. you can't tell from the picture, but he's holding a triangle of honeyd toast. and on the botton, its mr. alain whyte, sitting behind the drums in the recent morrissey video 'in the future when all's well.' good song, too. alain whyte usually plays the guitar, so i guess he was just visiting the set and screwing around. it makes a cool slide.

cruising

i love morrissey with his hair shorter like this. this shot was most likely taken around the
'maladjusted' era. he's such a doll. and he's tougher than he looks. i might have to post another song sometime soon. oddly enough, i don't really wonder very often what 'morrissey is thinking.' i believe i have a pretty good idea what he's thinking. i believe he's probably thinking about the next song, the next appearance, the next meal, the next deadline, the next bath, the next orgasm... just like the rest of us. i like the fact that he needs glasses. i like the fact that he keeps his fear, and his fearlessness, in context. he is a master at reconciling his contradictory impulses. man, i just realized, i could go on. but its getting late, and i have other wishes to make. so just dig morrissey, and how handsome he is.

ariel-laise

here's a large-size collage i made a long, long time ago from nothing but hacked-up magazines, glue, and imagination. i have since decided i really don't like to look at louise brooks because she reminds me of helen hunt, whom i really don't like... (she always seems to have some kind of big chip on her shoulder.) ...anyway, its still a pretty sound peice, i think. its tricky to successfully use red and green without it coming out looking it look christmassy. so, maybe its still got that dreamy, upside-down, gypsy-ish feeling i wanted it have at the time. although, it was well over ten years ago. i guess its not too bad. ( and please, click-to-enlarge)

vampire art!

yes, here's a crazy piece i made a long time ago. i think i may have even abandoned it as unfinished. but looking at it now, i think its kind of groovy; almost funny. like, what does it 'vampire' mean? its pretty obvious i really wasn't trying to 'say' anything specific. somehow the circle-shot of udo kier in the middle, moaning a dracula moan, just makes you wanna ask, '...what?' still, it looked a little bit better since i gave it a 15% vertical stretch and toned the green down to make it a little less like, 'cough syrup.' hey, if you dig it, cool, if not, i can see why. its kind of like, 'vampire' whatever. i'm a little suprised i stopped before adding frank-n-furter and 'jaws.' (yes, i mean the shark.)

machine

this is a very recent collage jean-lucien sent to me. i haven't had it long enough to have too much to say about it, except the fact that the genius is obvious. such surgical presicion, such crucial desicions when it comes to cutting. i don't know too many surgeons that are a scalpel and a saw at once. and the stitching is silky, world-class... a millionaire's operation. the best. dig it.

athens

this is the tremendously gifted mike millis, bass player and one quarter of the pen behind the songs of r.e.m. they are from athens, georgia... as many of you know. i lived for a while in georgia. in augusta. it was sort of like the honeymoon after my 13 years of fomal education. its a hot place. slow people... florid with golf and barbecue and ice cream. it was the closest to living in surburbia i've ever come. it was, in retrospect, bittersweet, but i wouldn't trade those months for anything. it is hard for me to hear mike mills sing and not grow misty about that time in my life. alone, playing house, with my only love. in my opinion, mike's finest song vocally, is 'texarcana.' unfortunately, i don't have access to that track at this... precise moment.

back georgina

...that's an order. here's a lovely lush screen shot jean-lucien managed to snag from the ken russell film 'mahler.' it showcases the intricacies of the costume design and the grace of the back of her neck.

even from a composition standpoint, it indicates jean-lucien's sense of framing.

i think its beautiful.

crowd pleaser

here is a slice of emerald notebook art featuring two hand-snapped stills, and other embellishment.

needless to say, the featured players are davy jones and eddie (i met him) izzard. dig it.

right

tonight's featured smoker is mr. harry dean stanton; or more accurately, brett. and i probably should know his 'title' by now, but i confess i haven't 'geek' dug around for that information yet. anyway, here he is alongside ripley, rolling cigarettes. i think its impressive when someone can 'roll one' properly. i've seen some hand-rolled jobs that look like a python swallowed a rabbit. but that's beside the point. for some reason i've got a bit of a crush on the seemingly slow-witted brett. maybe its a 'wrong side of the tracks' thing. maybe its something along the lines of telepathic pheromones...if that makes any sense. in any case, tonight, brett gets the 'full shares' of my attention. and a curious kiss good-night. right.

swoon

here is a lovely and flowing complex piece jean-lucien sent me well over a year ago. it works on so many levels. my partner's almost supernatural talent for color harmony must've been born from living blind in his formative years. when your vision is hazier than a monet, colors are all you have to cling to. i should know; my vision wasn't too much better. yes, i still love this one. its got a tangling to it... hanging vines and florid jungle blossoms. something like that. a little dangerous.

countrylife

here's another notebook strip featuring cary elwes and stephen fry. the slashfic almost writes itself, you know? slashfic... sigh.

jealous

here is some lush notebook art from my partner. i like the idea behind it. just when you think you've slain that green-eyed monster, he returns, alive and well and every bit as sick and full of foul magic as he has been for centuries. i acknowledge mine may be a cynical position, but lately i keep my heart under lock and key. jealousy is like childbirth. you never remember how bad it hurts until you feel it the next time. perhaps i have an unfair advantage; i was born in love. but i can't help that any more than i can help having blue eyes. as for romantic love? well, its invariably handcuffed to jealousy, and i mean it when i say you can keep it. i'd almost rather be seasick than jealous. only being thirsty is worse.

waternymphs

this is an embellishment from my partner jean-lucien. it's ripe, wet, green, and feature hylas and the water nymphs alongside the likes of michael nesmith and eleanor bron. i admire the boldness of the chessboard graphic, and dig the way he trusted himself to use it to the ultimate of its visual capacity. it comes across being pillow-soft and disciplined at the same time. dig it.
