o is for 'on tape!'

and its also for 'orange,' as in 'a clockwork orange.' man, i'm tired tonight. this is probably the only thing i'm going to post, but it like it. i like it because just seeing a photo of a tape like this stirs up my sensory memory. like, without having to try hard at all, my hands remember what it felt like to pick up and handle those old plastic clamshells with the clear plastic protecting the cardboard cover, spine, and back. i think its amusing though, that this one clearly says 'beta.' i never owned a beta machine. we got our first vhs early 1984, i think. it was a huge silver block with lots of groovy green lights on it. hey, oddly, for the first time since i was 12, i don't even own a vcr. i never thought that day would come, you know what i mean? man, jean-lucien and i must've taped literally miles of programming. and most of its still in my mom's house back home.

It's amazing to think that this technology ever seemed modern. But it did. I'm sure that tape of Clockwork Orange cost like 87 dollars when it was new.
