hey, i'm up late doing a lot of 'secre-
tarial' work... that consists of cleaning out old images from files,
deleting videos no longer available on the big bad miraculous youtube... and like, organizing my desktop and a lot of stuff that's necessary, but not so thrilling. but i wanted to post something to mark the day, so i found this groovy picture disc for david bowie's hit 'china girl.' i do like the song. if i'm not mistaken, i think iggy pop is the slinky dude that actually wrote it. (mmm, give me bowie's version any day.) so yeah, i remember picture discs. i think the only one i owned was for the new york stage production of 'the rocky horror picture show.' it was like, a big disc with frank posing in weird makeup. ( i should really try to find of shot of that and post it; it was pretty ugly, but 'cool-to-own.') i think picture discs are like, very high on the list of 80's pop band gimmickry. like, did anyone actually try to play one? i think i might have, but i don't have a real clear memory of it. so dig this groovy disc... and i'll try to hit you lovers again soon.

I have the Blue Jean 45 that was blue. Not as good as your picture disc.
Also, it always freaked me out how long China Girl's fingernails were. Why are they so long? They look real, too.
