well, maybe not so different. i can't remember where i found this wonderful shot of stewart smoking, below a fragmented lute and a blunt-edged mirror. he bleached his hair back then, didn't he? i mean, was that not part of the 'police' concept? and, forgive my ignorance, lucynell, but wasn't stuart born 'over here?' anyway, in this picture, he looks like he's 'cooling down.' i can't help but wonder how badly his hands hurt... how his champion knuckles ached... and his radius wrist bones complained after a loud night of banging out charted hits... all for the deep pockets of the middle-class 20 year-old grey fedora, torn yellow t-shirt chicks in the audience. i love this shot.

This is an early Police era pic. Their hair wasn't that blond for very long. I love Stewart smoking. He was born in Virginia. His Father was a big wig in the CIA.
