you'll have to bear with me for the next few days. i'm giving myself a pass as far as being too 'deep' or meaningful. i just want to get my skates back on, lace them up tight, and start moving again. so here's a shot i captured and tricked myself of the lovely, leggy miss diana rigg as the doomed diva arlena marshall in the great agatha christie film 'evil under the sun.' here she is checking in to the hotel. her diva rival (maggie smith, playing the hotel proprieter) has just said, referring to mrs. marshall's vacation; "...do have a good, long, peaceful rest...arlena." mmm, the foreshadowing-of-death is palpable. i think the costume is hilarious. she's on this tropical island where its apparently supposed to be 'summer hot,' and she's in this heavy, zebra-striped get-up with a tight skirt, long sleeves, black hose, gloves, and a damn hat with glam netting on it. man, she's a 'bitch on wheels' in this movie. i love it. bitch on, arlena. well, until you get killed.
