g is for georgina hale ...again

i thought i had posted every picture i had of the impossibly-beautiful miss georgina hale, but tonight i happened to come across one more. as i said with the eleanor bron posting, its hard for me to talk about the breathtaking miss hale without sounding completely 'lesbo.' i mean, i don't even 'prefer blondes.' but one has only to see her in action to realize that georgina's sooo much more than a pretty face. in my opinion, she is one of the finest english actresses in modern memory. every bit as good, certainly, as the oft-acclaimed miss glenda jackson. in ken russell's 'the devils' she robs the spotlight with a justified flourish and zeal. in fact, that same very heavy movie would fall apart without her crucial anchor in the role of the wayward and much-wronged phillipe. (i'd love to post some of her best scenes, but thanks to the USA's staunch resistance to releasing the controversial film, i cannot.) here she is at the earliest zenith of her popularity, looking super-cool. i implore anyone who can get their hands on a dvd copy of 'the devils' to do so. its an intelligent, unforgiving, grizzly experience.
