j is for 'jeremy brett joke!'

yeah, why the hell not. you may recognize jeremy brett as the dude who played 'freddie' in the movie version of 'my fair lady.' (i'm pretty sure his singing voice was dubbed, by the way) but most people probably recognize him from the standard-setting british television series based on the Sherlock Holmes stories. i never saw it, i know we had the tapes at the library. i've never been big on sherlock holmes. i've always been a devoted agatha christie-hercule poirot kind of girl. (ustinov and suchet are the two best poirots in my opinion.) but hey, tonight there's no 'mystery' about it, tonight the joke is on mr. brett. just look at that intense eye contact, ladies. he's soooo...mmm, what's the word? mysterrrriouss! (you might have to click to enlarge to read the joke. not that its all that hilarious, but what the hell.)
